Marla, my geography is terrible, but if you are in the SW corner (called Pfalz or Rhein-pfalz), try the Weinstrasse - about a 50 mile stretch thru sweet little towns, lots of vineyards. Few Americans, mostly German tourists. Many medieval towns, some with the old walls. Easy side trip to Speyer. Some Roman ruins in the area. Depends on what you are looking for, but it's very relaxing. Diedesheim has it's own great Reisling - trocken - and Bad Durkheim has the spa and that big keg restaurant. Great area.

Marla, I'm assuming the stop in Sindelfingen is for reason of family or friends? Otherwise, no real reason to stop there. A boring (in my opinion) dorf (village). On the way to Prague, however, a stop in Munich is fully warranted and will take up those two days. Lots to see and do. Enjoy the trip.
