Hi Mervolina - There's a bus service from Venice to Corvara in the ski season.

When are you travelling?

Steve

Hi Steve,
Thanks for yur reply. I am actually inquiring for friends who wil be traveling next week. Do you know where they would pick up the bus and how long it takes ? Also they will be returning by train to Venice for a few days of sightseeing after skiing. Do you happen to know if they can store their skiis in either of the Venice train stations or at the airport for a few days. We can't seem to find any informatin on this.

Thank you very much,

Mary

Mary - On checking the Dolomitibus website it seems the DIRECT Venice-Corvara service ceased last weekend, unfortunately.

So they can either -

- go to Belluno (- by train from Venice Mestre)

... and take the Belluno-Caprile-Corvara bus service from there
http://tinyurl.com/2ssup6
- see Belluno-Colfosco timetable

(- leaves from Belluno railway station)

OR

- go to Cortina (- train to Calalzo, then connecting bus)

... and take the bus (- operator: Dolomitibus) from there to Passo Falzarego ...
- which connects with another service (- operator: SAD) from Passo Falzarego to Corvara via La Villa in Badia.

The first option via Belluno is easier and quicker, I think.

Journey time from Belluno is 2hrs 20'
Total journey time from Venice should be about 5 hrs (- but will depend on connections at Belluno).

For train timetables Mestre-Belluno see:
http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html

Hope this helps ...

Steve

P.S. What day are they travelling?

IF they are travelling on the weekend there's a bus service from Venice Airport to Cortina - from where they can book a taxi service to Corvara.

For details/bookings:

Hope this helps ...
