Travel from Lucerne to Bellagio, Italy

My wife and I are schedule to cruise the Rhine from Amsterdam to Basel next month and then spend 4 days in lucern, Switzerland. I plan on buying a 3 or 4 day 2nd class Swiss Rail pass but wondering the best way to travel from Lucern the morning of 8/2/22 to Bellagio on lake Como. If possible, I would like to (use my Swiss pass) take the Bernia (s) express from Lucern to maybe Lugano, Switzerland then take a buss/ferry from there to our hotel Excelsior in Bellagio. I have looked at a few other alternatives/routes, but want to get the best sight seeing bang for our (wife and another couple) buck.
I would appreciate your and forum folks thoughts. Thanks, Thrutch

Check rome2rio.com for overview of options. You could take a bus to Como and then go to Bellagio. Or since there are 4 of you, could you rent a car? Where do you go after Bellagio which might help decide Lucerne-Bellagio?

BTW: If you really want to travel by Bernina Express, you will need a whole day:
Lucerne dp 10.39 by VORALPEN EXPRESS to Uznach ar 12.14, dp by local train 12.17 - Sargans ar 12.58, change train, dp 13.03 - Chur ar 13.23, dp 13.33 by BERNINA EXPRESS - Tirano ar 17.59, dp by bus 18.29 - Sondrio ar 20.05, dp by train 20.15 - Varenna ar 20.34, dp by ferry 21.25 - Bellagio ar 21.40
or
Lucerne dp 8.18 - Arth-Goldau (train change) ar 8.45, dp 8.54 by TRENO GOTTARDO - Goeschenen (train change) ar 9.50, dp 10.12 - Andermatt (train change) ar 10.22, dp 10.54 by GLACIER EXPRESS - Chur ar 13.24 dp 13.33 by BERNINA EXPRESS - Tirano ar 17.59, dp by bus 18.29 - Sondrio ar 20.05, dp by train 20.15 - Varenna ar 20.34, dp by ferry 21.25 - Bellagio ar 21.40.
But in my opinion, it would be a complete nonsense to stay more than 10 hrs in trains and cross the most scenic areas of Switzerland without leaving the train. The real gems cannot be seen from a railcar window.

MORE BORING ITINERARY:
Lucerne dp 6.09 - Zurich 6.50/7.07 - Chur 8.23/8.33 - BERNINA EXPRESS - Tirano ar 12.49, dp by bus 14.29 - Sondrio ar 16.05, dp by train 16.15 - Varenna ar 16.34, dp by ferry 17.15 - Bellagio ar 17.30.
