Travel dvd's on Italy?
What are the most recent travel dvd/video's on Rome, Venice and such?
We have watched on TV the Smart Travels series but that seems to be 2001, also the Rick Steve's but they also seem older. And also the Passport to Europe series.
Is there others out there?

I think I heard that a Rudy Maxa DVD on Italy was released in 2005. I think the was Enchanted Italy or something like that. I don't know if it is a re-release or an entire new program. Did you take a look at amazon.com already? I'm curious to see what answers you get, I like watching these also.

I have some of Rick Steve's DVD's and I noticed that some of the tv shows that he does appear to be newer than the DVD that I have. Also keep in mind that he has an older set of DVD's as well, some of them about ten or so days old. I have a Rick Steves Ireland VHS that must be pretty old because his kids are children in the video, and I believe his son just graduated high school.
I would suggest finding out when his travel show is on in your area, and recording the ones that you are interested in watching because they will probably be more up-to-date than his DVDs.
There is a show on our public broadcast station called Globe Trekkers that is pretty good. I don't know how old the show is, but I've watched a few (most recently on Belgium)and liked them. They are not just limited to Europe though.
