The most interesting thing I notice in all this is what we're not hearing about: traveller's cheques. I see ads all over cable tv for the cheque card, but they no longer promote cheques. Their use must really be on the decline.

One draw back... I ordered mine 3 weeks ago and am scheduled to leave this day after tomorrow for Italy for a month... still no card from AM EX. When I called, they indicated it shipped on schedule, that counting the 10 business days to ship, It was about 3 days later than usual. They indicated if it doesnt come by tomorrow I should call back and cancel. Great idea if it works. I did receive my Euros (cash) I ordered very promptly though. Nan
