If memory serves me, the bus station is right in front of the Ljubljana train station. Everyone we encountered spoke English so you should just be able to ask when you get there. There were several buses and trains through the day. The Bled train station is around the lake from most of the hotels but the bus station is a short walk from the main area.

Lesce-Bled is less than an hour by train from Ljubljana, but the station is a couple of miles from the lake and village of Bled.

Timetable on
http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/e

Dear Mr Parkes,

The site http://blisk.fe.uni-lj.si/conference...2/ontravel.htm says you can take an hourly bus from the airport ten kilometres to Kranj and another hourly bus that takes 1 hour 15 minutes from Kranj to Bled. Thomas Cook have their timetable at the exchange window of any branch, and it is in most British city reference libraruies. Table 1315 says that trains leave Kranj at 0832, 0940, 1255, 1333 (Mon to Fri), 1609, 1630, 1722 (Mon to Fri), 1813, 1916 (not Sat), 2035 (Mon to Fri), and at three times by night and take about 25 minutes to Lesce-Bled (which is not Bled). To travel via Ljubljana adds mileage. The site http://itc.fgg.uni-lj.si/bled96/travel.htm (no www) says you can take an airport bus to Ljubljana central bus and railway station. Airport busses run after every international flight, and cost 450SIT: the ride takes about 30 minutes. From Ljubljana you can take either a train or a bus (better) to Bled. The timetable says that the trains leave Ljubljana about 30 minutes before they leave Kranj. The website says busses from Ljubljana to Bled run every hour on the hour from terminal 7 or 8. The fare is 600 SIT. On weekdays afternoon they also run on half hour. The ride takes about 45 minutes.

Please write if I can help further

Ben Haines
