transportation to Dover

I'm going on a cruise out of Dover in June. My flight arrives at Gatwick and I plan to stay in London for a few days beforehand. What is the best way to get to Dover from London? I will be staying around the Victoria Station area?

The only serious option for most people under your circumstances is a train from Victoria www.nationalrail.co.uk

I hired Woodford Chauffeurs, and highly recommend them. They were awesome, had the best prices of all the places I had asked, and were very prompt.

Why would one want to use a car service when a train would be much faster and a fraction the cost?

She'll be going to Dover on a cruise. She may have a lot of luggage, which is why I recommended a car service.

Besides, the train was already recommended to her. I was giving her another option, and depending on who she's traveling with (mobility impaired), a car service may be the best solution.

Thee is also a direct bus service from Heathrow Airport .it is cheaper than train & easier with luggage as the driver will assist you . go to www,nationalexpress.com.

Why would they want to go from Heathrow - there are plenty of coaches from Victoria Coach station which cost as little as £1 - yes 1GBP - per person

also confused about the LHR comment. The OP will be in London for a few days before her cruise. Why would she want to travel out to LHR to get to Dover?
