Transportation between Lake Como and Zermatt

Can anyone provide the name of a driver/company (contact information) that i can hire to drive 4 adults from Bellagio / Lake Como to Zermatt Switzerland in May?

Any reason you don't want to use public transport?

You'd have to pay for the round-trip, and your group would need a van, so very expensive overall. Public transportation would be a bit convoluted with multiple connections, even if you started from Milan or Lugano.

If you're staying in a hotel in Bellagio, ask if they can recommend a transfer service for this route.

Public transportation will take much longer than a private driver.

We can hire a company that charges $673 one way. I am hoping to find someone that is less expensive..

Hi mrt: We're exploring private transfer, as well for Italy. Using Google I found: https://www.milanobycar.com/

but they look more expensive than the $673 you found. What company was that? TIA

And were you looking for transport from Bellagio itself or from a ferry terminal across the lake?

700 USD is rather cheap.
Buit if you don't want to pay that, you may change from taxi to train at Stresa. Stresa - Zermatt by train ist 2 1/2 hrs.
But as you are 4 pax, the full fare train ticket will not be cheap either (around 90 USD/pax),

BTW: I suppose that the road toll for the Pedemontana motorway and for the Lake Maggiore motorway as well as the Swiss highway sticker are included in the 673 USD.
So you would only have to add 4 train tickets Taesch - Zermatt (10 USD/pax).

Even though the journey is longer, I'd rather ride on trains than be in a van. On a train, your group could sit in 2x2 facing seats for better conversation, perhaps enjoy some food/drink you've brought with you, get up and walk around, toilets are nearby, etc. While the train ride involves at least three connections, driving would probably involve a couple of stops for lunch, comfort, etc., so maybe driving is not that much shorter overall than the train ride. Anyway... something to think about....
