Hello all, I am headed to Spain for my honeymoon in July and have a few transportation-related questions:
1) How easy is it to find/call taxis, especially around Mallorca? We are starting in Palma for 2 days and then heading up to Pollenca for 2 more days and I couldn't find a rental car that we could take one-way. (Also, I'd rather not drive if I don't have to - I am experienced with stick shift but not with small city roads or whatever driving customs may be in Spain.) Will we have trouble getting a taxi from Palma to an olive farm about 30 minutes away from the city and back? What about from Palma to Pollenca? Anything to be aware of with taxis or customs there?
2) Google has been moderately helpful at finding bus routes in the cities we'll be visiting (Palma, Pollenca, Barcelona, and Valencia) but does anyone have tips on navigating those, or is there anything we should know in advance? (For example, a friend who lived in Italy said the busses there sometimes don't show up without notice - is there anything like that to be aware of in Spain?)
3) We have the ferry from Pollenca to Barcelona booked but haven't figured out how we're getting from Barcelona to Valencia yet. I'm thinking train, but I haven't been able to find any available on the Renfe website yet - is it too early to book? Is that a good plan for that leg of the trip, or is there an alternative we should consider? Anything along the way that we shouldn't miss?
