Transportation advice London Janisj??
Encouraged by Janisj's report, we have tickets for ABBA Voyage on a Sunday afternoon in August. We are staying in South Kensington, across the street from Gloucester Road tube.
I understand that we can use our credit cards to tap onto the tube. But what happens when we change to DLR towards Canary Wharf platform and proceed to Pudding Mill Lane. Tap card, buy something else?
Is this the route you would take?
(Janis, also following your advice, we mortgaged the house and are going to the Oceanbird Lounge as well!)

I will just add that for the DLR at Canary Wharf and other stations, there is no exit where you have to tap to get out of the station. So you have to remember to tap one of the machines (especially easy to forget on the way out.) I usually hold my oyster card in my hand so I do not forget, but with a credit card maybe not such a good idea

You can tap your cards if they have NFC technology, but not all do. My UK cards are all contactless, but my US bank is just getting round to offer them. I can still make contactless payments with my US cards through Apple Pay on my iPhone.

You didn't ask, but that won't stop me recommending a favourite pub near the Gloucester Tube. The Hereford Arms, a Fuller pub, does a decent selection of draught beers and on Sunday noon is thronged for its enormous menu of roasts. 127 Gloucester Rd. Reserve for Sunday.

In May I used Apple Pay on my iwatch for everything. Very handy!
