Unless you are somewhat familiar with public transport I would take a taxi from any of the airports you might use. U/S-Bahn would be cheaper but it can be confusing for some.

I believe there is a bus service that takes you directly to Potsdamerplatz from Brandenburg/Schoenenfeld airport, unfortunately I always arrived at Tegel. There is also an express train (RG/RB) that charges 6 euros including the Sbahn or bus transfer from the Hauptbahnhof. I would recommend transferring to the nice metro bus M41 that stops right in front of the Hauptbahnhof every 10-12 minutes, and it only takes 8 minutes to get to your Potsdamerplatz Vossstrasse bus stop which is right across the street from the Berlin Marriott. Above ground transportation allows you to see the city. Alternatively you can also transfer to the S Bahnhofstr from the Hauptbahnhof to Potsdamerplatz, but you'd be underground and have to climb stairs/escalator/elevator with your suitcases then orient yourself once you get above ground where the Marriott is. Don't take the U bahn as the U station is quite far from the Marriott. Taxi would cost about 45-50 euros including tip fr the 22 km ride from Brandenburg.

If you are going before Brand. opens,
taxi from Tegel is less than20 euros.
As annoying as Tegel is, I am not looking forward to taking trains to Brand.
Took a train to Schonenfeld in July...a long ride.
