Hi J,
The best way is to have a private limo waiting for you at the airport.
See www.ratp.fr for directions using public transportation.
It's about 55 min by RER B and RER C.

I usually fly in from Stanstead to Begerac. This year I will fly into CdeG arriving 7AM and try to catch the train at 9AM from Austerlitz south to Souillac in the Dordogne.
ira reckons it is about 55 mins by public transport. Any ideas about the time by limo? Is this cutting it too fine? It will be a week day with whatever rush-hour traffic exists at 7/7.30AM presuming the plane lands on time and baggage is retrieved etc.. Any thoughts?

Hi R,

About 1 hr or more, depends on traffic.
Why a limo? A cab will do - abt 60E.
Your timing is very close.
Will you have to go through passport control?

Thanks ira,
I suspected that it might be cutting it close but was rather hoping I was wrong. With your confirmation about this I will opt for a rental car at the airport and drive south to Sarlat. We would have had to go thro' the unpredictable process of immigration and, along with possible delays in the air, renting car is a no-brainer. Thanks for the quick response as I am flying out end of April from Bangkok and must firm up plans.
