Transfer from Ataturk to hotel in Kabatas-Taksim, Beyoglu, 34427 Istanbul
Hello!
Can you help me find out in which zone would my hotel be considered? Would it be Avcilar-4Levent? The hotel is in Kabatas-Taksim, Beyoglu, 34427
The rates depend on the zone, and the offered zones are:
Anatolian Side
Anatolian Side Other
Avcılar-4Levent
Maslak&Beyond
These zones are on the Secure Drive web page (http://www.securedrivetravel.com.tr),
They don't answer my mail sent on his own web page, and i'm afraid to follow the booking procedure without knowing the price of the transfer.
I got initially a 55 euro rate for transfer from Ataturk airport to the hotel in Kabatas.
I thought it was a little bit pricey, but it is usually like that to get out from an airport.
But then, I read the Witt Istanbul lodge, and they say that a transfer to Taksim is around 50 TL ( http://www.wittistanbul.com/magazine...ought-to-know/ )
However, he recommended me to take Secure Drive since I'm travelling with my sons. So i'd like to find out if its price is lower than the transfer offered by the hotel.
For the ones that need the info, here are the rates for the regular taxis, quoted from his post
"Istanbul Taxi Flat Rate and Increments
- When you enter the taxi, the driver will activate the meter. The display should read 2.95 TL — the current flat rate.
- This fare is incremented with approximately 1,83 TL every kilometer.
- If a taxi gets caught up in traffic and doesn’t move or has to wait on your behalf for over 1 minutes, 0.30 TL will be added.
- There used to be a night and day rate, but that has been abolished. Don’t let him tell you different!"
thanks

Your hotel is not in any of the zones you have listed.
The zones you list are outside the central city areas.
The taxi fare to Kabatas, Taksim should be about TL60 these days, but a private transfer will cost more.
Just grab the first cab from the taxi rank outside the arrivals lounge unless your group is more than three and/or you have more than two largish or more than three small and medium suitcases. (with more cases, you can wait a bit for a rarer type of cab with more trunk space.)
Never take a cab that has just dropped passengers because some of those may not be trusted. Just use the orange coloured airport cabs from the rank.

bqycc,
I just realized who you were.
Checked just two web sites to get some prices.
one called, something444 gave TL95 and best City tours gave 25 Euros with a nice mercedes Vito mini van:
http://www.istanbulbestcitytours.com...ftpx=2~2~10,12
Their list does not include Kabatas. So you can use either "Findikli" which is very close or Taksim to get the price and/or price indication on-line but they will know Kabatas (pronounced Cub-Ah-Tush) if you call them.
Your flat may actually be closer to Findikli, but the car has to go up to Dolmabahce Square, go up the hill next to the stadium under construction and come down to the same street from the other side of the construction since there is no other legal u-turn, unless it sneaks.
