Trains in Corsica/Sardinia

Thinking of going from the northern tip of Corsica to the southern tip of Sardinia preferably by train. June/July. Has anyone done this? Is looks possible. Any suggestions?

You might find a similar web site for Sardinia.

Thanks Michael. And I've also got the Lonely Planets on order!
Have you been there? Do you know anyone who has? Do people know where these islands are??? Apart from me and you...?

Yes, Gertie, I know where the islands are but have never been there. I remember a couple of trip reports about Corsica.

Do they actually put the train on the boat?

BTW - I'm thinking of going to Romania so was browsing your TR.

I've never been but I read Colomba and Matéo Falcone, which probably would have Corsicans gritting their teeth.

adrienne, will look harder for trip reports on Corsica and Sardinia. Romania is great. So interesting. Go go go.

There are several Sardinia trip reports, but most people don't use the train as it's very limited. Bus might be the better option if you don't want to rent a car.

Thanks adrienne. Looks like I need to get reading. Kybourbon, if it can't be done by train, it will have to be bus. Cars are far too expensive and stressful for me if I'm supposed to be having fun.
