train travel

Is it cheaper to buy point to point tickets? or buy a pass? I'm traveling to Italy in 2 weeks and I'll take at least 4 trains. How much does it cost to take the eurostar?

Point to point tickets will probably be cheaper, but you can try your itinerary at:

to see.

Train fares in Italy and most European countries are calculated according to the distance in kilometres. If your four trains are from northern Italy to Sicily and back (say, from Trieste to Trapani), it might be worth getting a pass, but otherwise, it's almost certainly cheaper to buy individual train tickets. If you knew where you were travelling, you could find out the cost of the relevant train tickets on www.trenitalia.com.

I assume you have a reason for going north from Roma to Venezia, then all the way south to Bari. Wherever you're going in Italy, you can look up the details on the Trenitalia web site and find the fares, then compare those with the cost of a rail pass.
