Train Station Names
We will be in Cannes for one day and would like to take the train to Nice. When I look at the SNCF site it lists three different stations for Nice: St. Augustin, Station, and Riquier. Also, it lists two different stations for Canes: Station, and LaBocca. We would like to see the Old City in Nice. Could someone please advise which stations we would want to travel to and from? Thank you so much.

I would like to visit the "Old Nice" also, and you have posed a good question. I also would like to know which train station I should arrive at to be closest to the area of Old Nice.

I hope someone knowledgeable about this issue responds.

Good Luck

La Bocca is a suburb a little to the west of Cannes. I think you do want the Nice Ville train station for the most central location.

Saint-Augustin is a station to the west, right near the airport. Riquier is near the port to the east (NE of the chateau on that bluff). I think you might have read something wrong, as the station name should be Nice-Ville, not just "station".
