Train station/Ferry stop Varenna

We are travelling into Varenna railway station and wish to get to the ferry stop for the trip to Bellagio. How far is the station from the ferry. We do not wish to walk - is there a bus or a taxi?

We did the walk from the train station to town (and beyond, actually). I'm terrible with distances, but it wasn't far and all downhill, but there were taxis at the station as well.

The walk from the station to the ferry dock takes approximately 10 minutes...it is downhill all the way.

Usually, taxis meet every train that arrives.

The distance is roughly 700 yards. Ten minutes on foot, downhill. There are usually one or two taxis at the station meeting arriving trains. Skip the taxi unless it's raining or you have heavy luggage.

700 yards? I'd guess less...

Believe me, the operative term on this "journey of a very short lifetime" is DOWNHILL.

Does your luggage roll? Hop on and ride it if nothing else!

At the bottom while you've hanging around and waiting for the next ferry, stop into the litle hotel/cafe across the street and have a drink and start hanging out..you've finally arrived at THE lake! Enjoy.

Let's say about 500 yards and 6 minutes on foot.

Walk. It's so easy and the train station is close to the ferry (no more than 7 minutes if you are walking slowly). There may be a taxi. When I arrived there was 1 taxi but it had already been taken.
