Train from Venice to Milan ?
I'm looking to take my wife to Venice for valentines and was wondering how much it cost by train to go to milan or rome?
Also do i have to buy tickets before hand or can i just got to station and buy them ?

If you click on the shopping cart on the far right of the schedule on the Trenitalia site, it will give you the prices for the train you're looking at.
Venice to Milan, Eurostar, time 2:43
1st class seats 28.92 E.
2nd class 20.66 E.
Venice to Rome, Eurostar, time 4:21
1st class 67.14 E.
2nd class 44.93 E.
I don't find a whole lot of difference between 1st and 2nd class seats on the Eurostar, so if you're looking to save money, 2nd class is fine. I would buy the tickets a day or so ahead of time either at the train station or from a travel agent.
