Train from Milano to Spiez/Interlaken?

Hi all! Is there a direct train or short train from Milano Centrale to Spiez or Interlaken? When I search in Google maps I see an EC train that leaves Milano at 11:20AM and takes 2 hr 33 min however I cannot find train tickets for this. Does anyone know a route to get to Milan and Interlaken by train? Thank you for your help!

Where are you searching? Or I guess what dates are you searching? If it's after Dec 12th the new schedule might not be posted yet.

On TrenItalia both Interlaken West and Interlaken Ost are showing multiple options.

I’m looking at Saturday, September 16th. On most of the websites I see options that take 4hr +. I am hoping for a shorter train. I see on posted on Google maps for less time, but all other websites show longer trains.

Only place to look is the TrenItalia website. Click the duration option on the top of the screen.

https://www.trenitalia.com/

Something seems to be going on because there is a bus inserted in the middle for your dates. Track work? Or something else is going on.

You can also book on the SBB (Swiss Rail site).

The shortest trip I see for Sept 16 is 3:28 via Domodossola and Brig.

This question has come up recently on other threads, and this might explain some of your difficulty.

A quote from neckervd - our resident Swiss expert here on Fodor's:

The direct railway line Milan - Lucerne/Zurich is closed until the end of the year because of a accident in the Gotthard tunnel.

Remaining solutions:

Milan - Domodossola by EC bus instead of EC train (takes 2 3/4 hrs);
train to Sesto Calende -.bus to Arona - train to Domodossola (takes 2 hrs 50 min)
train via Novara (change) to Domodossola(takes 3 hrs 20 min)
any bus from Milan to MXP plus Comazzi bus (must be booked ahead) to Domodossola.
Domodossola - Spiez takes 1 1/2 - 2 hrs.

You may also reach Locarno by direct TILO train (takes 1 hr 50 min) and then change to a Domodossola bound Centovallina train (1 hr 45 min). This solution is covered by Swiss Travel Pass between Chiasso and Domodossola - Brig.
Milan - Spiez via old Gotthard tunnel - Lucerne or Zurich takes 6 hrs, covered by Swiss Travel Pass from Chiasso

Just a point Google maps is ok for cars, but poor for bicycles, trains, walking etc. The actual train companies are best with rome2rio sitting somewhere in between (but not perfect)
