train from Lake Como to Wengen

I am still wondering how to get from Lake Como in Italy to Wengen in the Alps. What cities do I plug into the timetable on the train schedule? We are staying in Bellagio. Do we need to take a train from another place on the lake--and which one? And do we take the train into a city close to Wengen? If so, how do I find out the name of that station? Also, after 3 days in the Alps, we are going back to Milan...hopefully by train. Help. We have all of our hotel reservations. Now I'm worried that we can't get from Bellagio to the Swiss Alps and back to Milan. Should I really wait until we get there to make these train reservations? Thanks!

You need to get from Bellagio to Como first. Ferry or bus would do.

Go to www.sbb.ch and click on English, then plug into the timetable Como to Wengen.

No need for reservations in advance, btw.

The ones you depart from and arrive to. Don't try to second-guess the system.
www.sbb.ch/en

>We are staying in Bellagio. Do we need to take a train from another place on the lake--and which one?

The one that the above website tells you to.

>And do we take the train into a city close to Wengen?

No. You take the train to Wengen, with a few train changes.

>If so, how do I find out the name of that station?

Easy. Wengen.

>Help. We have all of our hotel reservations.

... so the hassle is over.

>Now I'm worried that we can't get from Bellagio to the Swiss Alps and back to Milan.

Why???

>Should I really wait until we get there to make these train reservations?

No, you simply don't make any reservations. You just buy a icket and jump on a train. Are you worried if you have to take a city bus where you live?
