Train - Copenhagen to Vaxjo

Hi all,
Bit of advise please.
A group of us are travelling by train from Copenhagen Airport to Vaxjo, Sweden. A journey of 2.5 hrs.
We have booked tickets online. Are there any tips for Copenhagen Airport train station and platforms.
We have 1st class train travel but realise now should have probably booked specific seats as we will have to move if someone has prebooked. Can we still book seats in advance online.

It is a direct train but not the fast train as we would have had to change enroute for that.

Is there likely to be any food service or should we purchase food at the airport prior.
Any tips and hints much appreciated.
Thanks.

Likely to be snackbar with really expensive snack foods - few trains these days have restaurant cars anymore - stock up at the airport which has food stores - in first class you probably will find quite a few empty seats IME - in decades of European trail travel with a first-class pass I have rarely seen a first-class carriage without empty seats - but if reservations are a few bucks go for them for peace of mind.

Copenhagen Airport train station is just a few platforms - nothing to worry about - right in the airport - great scenic trip over the bridge-tunnel to Malmo - see for miles around at points.

For lots of great info on European trains and what to expect check out www.seat61.com; www.budgeteuropetravel.com and www.ricksteves.com.

I would recommend seat reservations if you can get them. The issue is if you sit in someone's seat, you will be asked to move which is a pain as it can happen at every stop. Some trains have entire carriages for those without seat reservations so that could also be ok for you.

You're likely to be able to make seat reservations right in Copenhagen airport at the train station for a few euros but that close to the train maybe not.
