Dollface:

We stayed in a great little hotel in October....Hotel de Notre Dame on Rue Maitre Albert. It's in the Latin Quarter, bordering on the 6th. It's on a winding little Medieval lane...the hotel is no more than 50 yds from the Seine, Notre Dame and the Pont Archeveche. It's a 3 minute walk to Ile St. Louis with its good restaurants and shopping.

Website: http://www.hotel-paris-notredame.com/index.html

Karen Brown reviews it here (with picture of the charming street): http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUrl-g...de_France.html

Room was small, but not outlandishly so. It was clean and modern. Bath was very nice. We were on the 2nd floor over the front door with a window looking up the lane out to the river. It was $150 a night.

I'd go back in a heartbeat. In fact, I wish I were there tonight! Bon Journee!

My french instructor suggested the Hotel Cluny Square in the Latin Quarter.
On blvd. St. Michel---149 euros a nite. They have a website but hard to contact in person. If you need their phone number or fax it is on the site but e-mail address is different. We will be staying there in June.
