Leiden is a lovely university town and was our favorite day trip. It also has the Pilgrim Museum and the church where they worshipped.We visited Leiden by train on the same day we went to Delft.

Oh, and if you will be there in late April, beware of Queens day unless you like to be surrounded by nothing but drunks. I tend to like big events, but there wasn't really anything worth checking out and my daughter and I decided to catch a bus to go to Keukenhof and that was a great decision, it was beautiful.
