Just got back from Rome, Venice and Italy last night.

Borghese Gallery is a must see. We did the audio tour and it was awesome. You will need reservations.
Vatican Museum with a tour guide. We used Scala Reale and had an excellent tour. It's worth every penny!

La Madonna Restaurant
Florence
La Giostra, Boccanegra, and Cafe Pitti restaurants in that order.

susant100, glad to hear that you had a good experience at Cafe Pitti. They must have finally fired the waiter that we had when we attempted to have lunch there last summer.

His service was so bad that we finally got up and left a half hour after we'd decided on our order, set our menus down, and were finally tired of staring at our empty glasses. He never came back to check on us once (although he glared from a distance) and the place wasn't even crowded.

So, I'm glad to hear that they've improved and you had a good time there. Thanks for the update. Perhaps we will try them again on the next trip.
