too long in dordogon
We are going to France for 15 days. The last five days are in provence for my wife and I. The first 10 days are with our 21 and 21 year old daughters and their significant others. We take a trip with them every year to Europe and they are great travelers. We are booked for 10 days at the Hotel Du Chateau in Bayeaux. This is supposablly a great region and a fine hotel. Question 1-how good is this hotel? Question 2-is 10 days too long or is this region so great that 10 days will be fabulous? If ten days is too long, where to you recommned for the second five days.

If valpleetwilson is actually asking about Hotel du Chateau in Beynac et Cazenac I'd want to know what time of the year.
Would not want to stay there in the middle of summer when traffic right in front of the hotel is very heavy and sometimes comes to a complete stop because of congestion.
Can't help with reviews of the hotel itself. Only with the location.

If you're talking about the Dordogne, then 10 days is not too long at all. We were there for 4 weeks in Sept, and we've been there for 4 weeks on 3 prior trips also.
Is this Cinq Chateau just outside of Beynac?? - we've dined there many times. It's not on the main drag through Beynac.
