To save research time: Post Comments about Hotel(s) here. Thanks!

I've been following the postings on this website as I am planning my frist trip to italy and noticed, that everyone is, for the most part, interested in recommdneatins of a good/reasonable hotel in Rome, Venice, Florence, etc.

So if you have stayed in a hotel that you would recommend to others please fill out the following inf. I will compile it and post it for everyone to save everyone's research time. Please use your own experience for rating the hotel: 1-10 (1 being the lowest)

--------------------------------------------
City Name:
Hotel Name:
Hotel Rating:
Special Comments:
Hotel Website:

The idea is good, but you don't carry it far enough. You don't just want to know about the hotel but rather about the person who is giving the opinion. Your questionare should include questions about the traveller.

Age:
Gender:
Travel budget: (cheap, moderate, luxury)
Frequency of travel:

You go to Tripadvisor and you often find hostels and budget with top ratings because of backpacker comments. Such opinions are worthless if you are a moderate/luxury traveller. The only useful opinions come from people whose tastes are reasonably close to yours.

After the city, I would think price range would be the next important thing to most people.

Could you include - apartment available? - in any listing. Many Fodor readers are interested in joint hotel/apartment style accommodation in European towns/cities/even small villages. Jay

If you're serious, at the very least post your personal comments on the hotel section of Fodors, where they already have a summary of hotels.
