Tips for Traveling with Children

I previously posted a message re. my latest photo and trip report--but, there has been one section that appears to be useful to several people who found it, so thought I would mention it and provide a direct link. It gives some of the information and learnings we discovered as we traveled with a 5 year-old for 6 weeks in Italy and Spain. Hope it is useful to you. http://www.janeandken.com/Italy2003/...hchildren.html

Jane I'm going out to buy my fruit rollups today for our trip next week. I already have lollipops. Thanks for the great trip report. I love reading about other peoples travels with children.

Another tip: Build a mystic around a "magic" purse or some such thing which often has little treats in it. Casey would ask "Is there anything in your magic purse today?" Always made sure I had it with me. It made a game of it and was fun. Along the way I would throw in little candies from restautants, etc. Can not tell you how often this forestall the "whines." Have fun on your trip. Where all are you going?

Bring game boy, coloring books, crayons, a note pad to scribble..But most of all bring snacks, beef jerky, fruit rolls, crackers , even some fast food for the kids...Airline food is getting worse every day, I wished that i had a big fat sandwich with me...
Good Luck and have a Lots of Patience...
