Time for a Scavi Tour or not?

I have read great things about the Scavi Tour, but is it worth trying to schedule a tour if you are only be on Rome for two days? Maybe I should just save it for another trip?
I don't want to reserve a spot and then not show up - it sounds like that happens quite often.

The tour only takes about an hour - if that helps. If you can schedule around a visit to the vatican.

We just spent only two days in Rome and we scheduled the tour. I really would not miss it.
I was just a little disappointed as our tour only lasted 45 minutes. A regular guide was not available for us and a priest stepped in and he was not happy that this was not is regular job and it was supposed to be his lunch hour, so I think he speeded it up a little.
But I still would not have missed it. It was fascinating.
