Thoughts on this Rome apartment?

It looks intriguing!

I may be doing a last-minute trip at the end of the month. Given that it's low season and a struggling economy, would it be worth it to try to negotiate an even lower price?

I would check www.slowtrav.com to see if there are any reviews of this apt. Also, when you correspond with them, find out what floor it is on (unless I missed that). You may get stuck with walking up many flights of stairs. I have never known these agencies to negotiate the price but I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask. When you check out reviews, it wouldn't hurt to pay attention to the positive ones...it always makes me feel more comfortable when I know someone else has stayed there and enjoyed it.

Sandi: I checked slowtrav--and elsewhere--and didn't find a review, though the agency was on their recommended list.

Hi sera,

before I booked, I'd like to know exactly where it is - the web-site says Trastevere but where?

how long are you going for - and is it just you? I'm never sure that an apartment for one person for jsut a few days is worth all the cost of the supplies you have to get in, few of which come in one-person sizes.

when I am by myself, I like to be as central as possible, but you may have different ideas, of course.

regards, ann

I agree with Ann it depends a lot on where in Trastevere.
For apartments in the same price range I would look at realrome.com. We were very pleased with our experience with that agency

For me, if I cannot find reviews from others that have stayed, I won't. I absolutely agree with knowing the level and exact location.
