I just got back from Ireland the end of May. I am ready to go back. This time am thinking of driving. There was so many places I would have liked to stopped at. We stayed at very nice hotel but would like to stay at some B&B. I loved Killarny, any good B&B there want something in town?

Cecelia, you must try Applecroft B&B in Killarney run by Kathy and Don Brosnan. It's wonderful and quite the best B&B I've stayed in. Rooms all have themes and the breakfasts are superb. It's about a 10 min walk [max] into the town. Am visiting for the 3rd time in 2 weeks time!

Cecilia- <BR>Killarney is chock full of B&Bs, as it's mainly a tourist town. You shouldn't have any trouble finding something nice. <BR> <BR>As for the car, get an automatic. It's worth the extra cost. The roads are so narrow over there that you have to be able to concentrate solely on driving on the left, and not learning how to shift with your left hand. And watch out for cows and sheep! They seem to come out of nowhere. <BR> <BR>I hope you'll explore further afield than Killarney. Head up to Galway or Kilkenny, or all the way up to Belfast or County Donegal. Have fun! <BR> <BR>One last thing--don't know where you live, but Aer Lingus just started direct flights from Baltimore-Washington airport to Dublin. It may be hard to believe, but Aer Lingus are the only ones flying this route.

I need som B&B recommendations and any siteseeing recommendations too. I was in Ireland about nine years ago, and now we're going there in August. Last time we went to killarney, waterford, cork, dublin--what are the must do's now?

Lisa and Matt: the must-do now is do less to see more. Try to avoid doing the whole trip at the gallop; stay in one place for a few days. It needn't be one of the tourist hot-spots. Hang around and become part of the scenery for a while. It is catching.
