Thieves and pickpockets
Just retuned from Paris. We had no problems with pickpockets, although our friend who lives in Paris had his cell phone stolen while we were eating lunch. His phome was on the table (we were eating outside) and bunch of kids apporoched athe table. They had a books/newspapers and leaned on the table babbling about wanting to sell us something and before you knew it they ran off and took the cell phone that was under the paper! Just a tip not leave anythign on youir tabel!!

We were at the Ft Lauderdale airshow several weeks ago amidst thousands of people on the beach...never once thought of being pickpocketed...I know we have our own problems in the US, but I wish European governments would do something about the theft epidemic...it just might have an effect if they reacted!!! I like the 2 previous ideas.

Sorry guys but this happens in the US too. A friend of mine was at an upscale restaurant in Florida and had her purse on the floor by her chair. It was stolen. And, to make matters worse this was 9/12/01. Even after the airspace was reopened several days later, she and her husband had to rent a car and drive home to the midwest rather than fly because all of her ID was in the purse. There was no way to get an alternate ID air expressed from home in time for them to be able to fly.

Hahahaha, the mousetrap idea was brilliant! I'm almost tempted to fill an otherwise empty purse full of set mousetraps to enjoy the pleasure of someone or other screaming in pain
And there is no reason to feel sorry for the stupid bastard or feel any kind of guilt...the thief is getting what he deserves!
