Thessaloniki to Corfu Road Trip - Need Help
After a week in Chania, Crete in July, we are looking to spend a 2nd week in Northern Greece. Currently thinking of the following but not sure of logistics:
Sat - 3pm flight from Chania to Thessaloniki, rent a car, stay in city
Sun - Drive to Metsovo - enjoy the mountains, evening in Metsovo
Mon - Explore Meteora, stay in Metsovo
Tue - Drive to Igoumentisa for ferry to Corfu
Wed/Thur - Explore Corfu
Fri - Ferry back and drive to Ioannina for the afternoon, arriving back to Thessaloniki by dinner
Sat - Am flight to Athens and out
Logistically, is it easy with car/ferry from Igoumenitsa to Corfu? I cant seem to find any ferries. When I look up Jul 13, I get nothing available.
Considering maybe leaving car in Corfu and flying to Athens instead. Less driving but an extra $300 fee for one way car rental.
Was also thinking of driving round trip from Athens so that we dont have to fly to Athens on last day but seems too far to drive
We are tied to Corfu and can do something else after Meteora/Metsovo.
Any ideas would be very welcome!
Thanks!

The last direct ferries between Ancona - Corfu - Piraeus - Paros - Santorini - Iraklio (FB Ariadne and FB El Greco) run some 25 years ago.
In the sixties and seventies of last Century, most passenger boats running between Egypt, Israel, Lebanon, Cyprus and Italy stopped at Piraeus and Corfu, namely SS Syria, SS Alkhazayer, SS Hermes, SS Pegasus, TSS Apollonia, SS Stelvio, SS Brennero, MS Espresso Cagliari.
