Theater tickets in London?
We're going to London in March and would appreciate any recommendations as to how to get good discount tickets in advance. I've checked out the London Theatre Club and another site or two. We hope to see "My Fair Lady" but would like to hear about any other plays that would appeal to our ten-year-old -- who's a bit young for "Hamlet."

When in March? Previews start then for the big new production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium which sounds like an incredible amount of fun with a top notch artistic crew and cast.
I don't have a ten year old to take, but I've already booked tickets for it for this summer.

American Express card holders have been able to get excellent seats to "The Lion King." Check Disney's UK web site, with its link to theatre:

http://www.disney.co.uk/MusicalTheatre/TheLionKing/amex/amex.htm

The phone number to call is shown there. They don't charge a service fee, only the cost of the ticket.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang would be on my list. We loved Mamma Mia when we saw it in Toronto. We just returned from London and saw My Fair Lady--it was disappointing. Couldn't help comparing it (unfavorably) to the movie. Next time, we would see something we hadn't seen before.
