Does anyone know when the Royal Family visits Scotland? Particulary Edinburgh? I know of during the Military Tattoo in August... I was just wondering if there were any other times that they are difinitely going to be in Edinburgh.

Balmoral Games is the event you want to go for - they make presentations there. They stay at Balmoral Castle, not in Edinburgh itself.

Except for their traditional summer vacation up at Balmoral, Christmas at Sandrinham, etc., the Royal Family doesn't really go places together. They are busy with individual events all over the country/world. Last year the Queen attended one night of the Tattoo - I have not seen anything that says any of the family is attending this year.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were in Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago for their annual visit.

You may find those games are at Braemar, rather than Balmoral
