The Producers

HI,
Iwill be in London the end of Nov.
I would like to see "The Producers" while there."
It is just opening Nov. 9th.
Am I correct in assuming that I should buy the tickets now, on line, as there will be no deals that early in the production? Or will I be able to get them at the 1/2 price booth, or some other discount locatio, once there?

I would say with the show just opening that the 1/2 price ticket booth will NOT have tickets for "The Producers" at the end of November. I suppose that could change depending on ticket sales. Patrick would be the one to best answer this.

I can't imagine getting a deal on The Producers after it opens. Perhaps they offer a special for previews. I suggest you call the theatre direct and order tickets which they will hold for you there and charge to a credit card. Do you have the box office number and seating chart? You should be able to get both from www.theatremonkey.com

Hi,
Thanks. That's what I thought, but I thought that I should ask the question before I ordered the tickets.
Any other suggestions for plays at that time? I would like to see a few. I will be visiting my 21 year old son (semester abroad) and will be with my 14 year old daughter.

I don't have a 14 year old daughter, but I'd still love to see the big new production of Mary Poppins. You have even more reason to!
And I'd be lining up to see Patricia Routledge in Solid Gold Cadillac.

I second Patrick's recommendations. I have my ticket for both the Producers and Solid Gold Cadillac. I don't think they will have any 1/2 price tickets for The Producers. That's OK. To see Richard Dreyfuss in person will be worth it.

Your daughter might also like "Mama Mia" and "Joseph". You should be able to get discounted tickets for those shows.
