The favorite restaurants in Paris

Friends~we are off to Paris for the third time come September. I have some ideas like Chez Denise,Benoit and the like but would love your ideas. We will be in the Marais at both ends of the trip(off to Provence and Switzerland in between). We don't care much for surprise prix fixe but welcome very good food. Precious is not ok with us.

I agree with MP. Do some of your own research and come back here with a list. This question has been asked soooooooo many times.

I hate to recommend places because everyones tastes are different, but we loved Le Petite Marche, right behind Place de Vosges on rue de bearn in the Marais. It was only open for dinner, very small, filled with locals, and very tasty. We are hoping its still there when we are in Paris in September.

One of your first destinations for a fab dinner with the best view LES OMBRES. With his glass ceilinged roof, you can reach out and practically touch the Eiffel Tower. Reservations necessary, as it is a hot table, but such views and ambience-it will really put you in a Parisian state of mind.

Also, at the Musee d'Orsay, they have a FABULOUS turn of the last century dining room, for lunch, but also for dinner on Thursday night, and a Sunday brunch-reasonably priced-this is a great place to go (they do afternoon tea here as well), but you have to make reservations, because the locals love it too:
