Ah I missed that Janis, thankyou.

I was going to say head north on Monday and you have an excellent chance of seeing them, but that isn't possible if OP lives south.

Maybe you could try a Hurtigruten trip, especially if you don't particularly want to photograph the lights, just see them.

I used to live in Fairbanks Alaska. We had aurora on many nights in the winter but, as others said, they are not predictable far in advance. If you are flexible, you can see forecast on the website that was given to you above (from Geophysical institute), and travel last minute.
