I just love reading all your posts and recommendations about the Lauterbrunnen area. We will be there in FOUR weeks so am very excited. We had booked into Interlaken but based on all the wonderful info here, I changed to staying in Lauterbrunnen and am really looking forward to the hiking.
Have a great trip gruezi!!

I know everyone says to take the hike on the wide trail from Kl S down to Wengen, but I strongly recommend taking the narrow path that as you face downhill from train tracks leads off to the left.. if follows the ridge along and decends,, incredible views, no cliffs( I did it with my 12 yr old),, a bit hard on the knees, but worth it , you will swear you are in heaven, cow bells in the distance, flowery meadows, no crowds, it is so beutiful. Takes about 3 + hours.
Also had the best cheese fondue at Hotel Falken.

Hi Pal,
I wrote a trip report. It is not too terribly long (like some of mine) and covers all the walks I did...
Search under "Wengen for the faint of heart"...
Thanks for all your help as always!
