Basingstoke: Thanks for the info. I thought that was the restaurant. I walked past it while in Paris in August 2009. A Parisian friend and I were out strolling in the area and I walked over and checked out the menu. I just couldn't totally make out the name in your photo, but it looked like the same place. I should have tried it as the restaurant that I eat at is closed all of August. I'm not used to being there in August, but was in Paris for two different seasons in 2009.

Your meal was probably under 40 Euros. I regularly have the plat du jour at the macro restaurant that I eat at and it's only around 12.50 Euros. A real deal for such a hardy meal. Smiles. Happy Travels!

It probably was under 40 euros. That would be for two, with beverages and dessert. DW is sort of a vegetarian in that she will not eat the flesh of warm blooded animals and although I am not, I enjoy vegetarian, vegan food. We always seek out this type of restaurant on our travels and for the most part have had excellent success.

I also have had excellent success with such restaurants and the meals are so balanced that it keeps me feeling great. Happy Travels!
