I assume you'll be wanting similar information about Burnley.
It's up north (where it's not grim!)

Burnley on a midweek, midwinter night?

Not on your nelly old fruit.

That's one for watching in the pub.

You're determined to live up to the prawn-sandwich monicker, aren't you?

I don't think that knocking back Burnley deserves the prawn sandwich epithet.

Hi Chol.
I smile at your humour about most things including the north. As a true northerner and proud of my roots a lot of your banter is echoed between myself and my southern friends. I do however wish to say that at the moment the best thing to come out of London is not the M1 but Spurs.
Since Harry took over i have won a fortune on Betfair backing them. Even last night i got odds of 2-1 draw no bet. Like taking candy off a baby.
You will reach the final but then the honeymoon ends when you meet the big boys.I still dont think Harry has managed to build you up enought to tale on man u with even half a team out.
By the way i think you have said in the past that no one born in Manchester supports the Reds. Dont believe all you read in the paper. Myself and the whole of Salford would not suppoert anyone else. I think you Southern Pansies get mixed up with people from Oldham,Bury and the like who all have their own teams but whose population put on Blue shirts and sing Blue Moon each week.
Do you think i should get rid of Bentley from my fantasy team. i will stick with Woodgate but Bentley is letting me down. Your valued opinion would be appreciated.

Oh No

Good Grief

They have Fantasy Soccer Leagues? Copying the Yanks again.

Heck the whole soccer thing is one fantasy - at least if you are sorry enough to be a Spurs fan. I guess Spurs can only win in a fantasy world.

BTW - Does this damned soccer thing never take a break? Are there games on Christmas Day even? Like here we have football games on even on Christmas Day - don't you all?

Palq. What are you talking about you idiot. They won last night. By the way the name of the game is football. You know sort of named after the way it is played, with the foot and with a ball. Now can you satisfy an old man and answer me a question that has puzzled me for a long time. What American game is played at professional level and does not require steroids

They used to play on both Christmas day and Boxing day - Once at home, then against the same team away. Things were much tougher back in the days of the "maximum wage".

The Christmas day games used to generate some extraordinary scores - mainly because the players were half cut.

Lawn bowling

If soccer don't have problems with roids then it ain't a physical sport

Really - no illegal drug use in soccer. Sure and the Queen is my hero too.

There's no drug problem in football. At least not the performance enhancing kind - players do keep getting caught for dope and coke.

Although football does allow the use of things that other sports don't - creatine and cortisone spring to mind.

You only have to look at footballers to realise that there's no steroid use in footy. In fact they are all deperate not to put on muscle bulk.

A pansy sport for sure!

That's why in America soccer is now the most participated sport for kids - mommies who don't want their slight kids mauled up in football let them play soccer.

sissies for sure!

Americans are too poofy to play any sport where they might get hurt.

Basketball? No touching

"Football" and Hockey? Suits of armour.

Although to be fair, falling off a cow could smart a bit.

Of course I've never watched a NBA game - it's just physical freaks playing netball.

We do play it here - but only schoolgirls play.

Imagine going thru 48 minutes of having some 7 foot tall 320 pound guy like Shack constantly elbowing you out of the way.
