taxis to fiumicino at 4am
not to make an assumption, but are taxis in Roma easy to call ahead for when we need to be at the airport by 4am for out flight home? will hotels usually arrange this if you ask?

You will have no troubles getting a taxi that early if you arrange one a few hours ahead of time and most hotels are happy to help you with this. Some taxis will start running the meter from the location they are coming from to pick you up, not starting at the hotel but ask the concierge for recommendations.

I agree. You'll simply make better time in the absence if traffic. Have the hotel front desk set it up the night before. They ought to be able to choose someone whose dependability and integrity can be trusted.

I agree with the other posters.
We once got a taxi at 4:30 AM by asking our hotel desk the evening before to arrange one for us. However, we got to the airport so early, about 5AM for a
7 AM flight, that nothing was open including our check-in until about 6-6:15 AM.
If you're planning on getting there at 4 AM, I hope you're taking the 4:50
to Frankfurt.
Anyway, relax you wont have any trouble getting an early taxi ride and enjoying your last night in Rome, a much better alternative to staying at an airport hotel.
