taxis

how does one go about getting a taxi from rome termini RR station to our hotel ?
Will they be available out front and is there a set price I don't want to be taken for a ride,so to speak. there will be 4 of us husband 2 teenage grandsons and me.
I don't want to lug my luggge through buses and trains

There is a taxi queue outside of the main entrance. Do not accept if people offer a taxi ride in the station - these are illegal taxis and you are likely to be "taken for a ride".

Official taxis have a meter.

Yep, go straight to the official taxi line. On your way to the line you will be approached by many willing "official" taxi drivers , just say Grazie and keep going.

Hi Bird - If you are coming from FCO, for 4 people it will be no more expensive to arrange a limo transfer DIRECTLY from the airport to your hotel (- rather than going via Roma Termini). Much easier ...

I agree with Steve. With 4 people I'd book at http://www.limoservicerome.com and get to my hotel with no bother with trains or taxis.
