Why are you taking a bloody taxi, sweetie, from Lisboa Airport to Sintra?? You take a cab to Rossio Station, then take the train to Sintra. Taking a cab from Lisboa to Sintra must cost a bloody fortune, as Sintra is 45 minutes from Liboa. Are you coming in at night and afraid to take the train?? Otherwise, taking a cab to Sintra is daft.
A few years ago, my hotel in Lisboa offered a car service to Sintra. When I was told the cost, I screamed, "I said car service to Sintra, not bloody airfare!"
My ex-husband, Rogerio, lives in Lapa, so I know the city quite well.
Bom Dia,
John G.

I took the train from Lisboa to Sintra. Then I hired a taxi at the Sintra station to drive me to the castle, wait while I did my tour, then drive me back to the station. The taxi fare was less than the price of lunch, and the train fare was less than that.
To paraphrase someone(?) from somewhere(?): if you need to know the price of a taxi from Lisboa to Sintra you should not be doing it.

I don't have any direct experience, but I recently read on some Sintra hotel's website that it was around € 40 and that it took 50 minutes to travel from Lisbon airport to this particular Sintra hotel.
By the way, re 'topping': The threads containing recent posts appear at the top of the Fodor queue; they are then gradually 'demoted' to lower positions in the queue by threads with yet more recent posts. Although one can easily access more than just the 50 most recently posted threads, some people feel that the top 50 get the most responses.

A couple of years ago my husband and I stayed in Cascais, about 35 minutes No. of Lisbon. We took a bus to Sintra from Cascais main station. Maybe, depending on your time frame, you might want to consider this. Otherwise, do the train.

Take a taxi from the airport to "Rossio" Station, then take a train to Sintra. You may see this site:
