Taxi Availability from Bus Station

We will be arriving in SELCUK, by bus, FAIRLY LATE IN THE EVENING, from Pammukale.

We would like to take a TAXI to our hotel: The Amazon Petit Hotel.

Will there likely be taxis available outside the Bus Station late evening ? Or, is there a way to reserve one in advance ?

Thank you for any help with this.

I would suggest that you contact the hotel and ask them if they can make pickup arrangements for you from the bus station. If it is late evening, you may not be able to arrange a taxi. I was on TA website and someone else that stayed there recently said the hotel arranged pickup from the train station and took them to the bus station upon checkout. This would be your best option.

I was in Selcuk last month. Its a tiny town. The bus station is really just an open parking lot! When I arrived by bus from Istanbul at about 5:30am, the bus didn't even pull in to the Otogar lol. He just dropped me off on THE main road. The Otogar is just a few steps away from this main road. Didn't see a single taxi nor a person nor an animal at that hour.

So I don't think you're going to find a taxi at a late hour. The good news though is that being a tiny town, I can't imagine your hotel would be far away. I'm sure your hotel would be able to arrange a pick up.

Its also possible that your hotel is within walking distance from the Otogar - I don't recognize the name so I can't help you there. You could try google maps to see if its close enough to the Otogar.

Hope this helps.

Good luck, doesn't sound that difficult according to Wanderlust! Don't you just love those drop off locations? LOL

You must be going to Ephesus and if so, you will love it. This was one of my favorite places visited when we cruise. We had such an awesome day when we stopped there. We had a private tour guide meet us at the ship and spent the day touring with him. Ephesus is amazing! We also visited House of Blessed Virgin Mary and Terrace Houses. If you have time we also visited the Ephesus museum and that had some wonderful artifacts to see. Hope you enjoy your visit!
