Tauck vs Distrav

Taking my first trip to France in May 2000. Thinking of taking a tour. I know Tauck is nice but a little expensive. Has anyone heard of Distrav Tours? I have a brochure but not sure if it is a smoothly run tour and if the meals are good. Please give me any info on any tours that might be good. Thanks Patty

We went on a Tauck Tour in September to Normandy, Brittany, Loire Valley and Paris...a very fine trip in every way. Several of our group continued onto the southern France tour and enjoyed it very much too. Unfortunately, it was very, very hot and humid when we were there, but that was so unusual and would probably not happen again. We are from Arizona and really felt the humidity and heat! Haven't heard of the Distrav Tours, but have you thought of Globus, Collette, or Brennan?

This one's for Karen. What have you heard about Brennan? A friend is thinking about them, and I hadn't heard anything. Love to hear what you know.

Carol....Think she can pick up a Brennan tour book at any travel agency. Have had a few friends who have taken Brennan and been very satisfied. Think it is somewhat less than Tauck, most tour groups are less, but we still continue to use Tauck(five trips).
