Patrick downsized to a condo townhouse a few years ago so there's not much room to party, but all are welcome.

Naples would be easier for us east coasters to get to than Tampa. I'm in Paris April 13 to 21 but otherwise free--except, of course, for all that company you invariably attract when you first begin to live in FLL area. Thanks parisonmymind for starting this. Happy to help if I can. [email protected]

I'm with you Olive--any excuse to go to Naples. Paris--since this was your great do you want to take the reins on this venture? After many years of volunteer work I finally figured out that he who has the great ideas "gets" to implement them!! Of course I'll help any way I can.

Well now, is it Tampa or Naples? wherever it is, we will come. Did the Atlanta one ay my house, 2 years ago, right before 9/11 and it still brings back bittersweet memories of Wes and all(Hi Judi,& Gail). Maybe Bob the Nav, can come again down here! Fla is a BIG state, yes? Judy

Can't get away to the east coast, but I'm up for an Orlando get together. Be great to meet up with all the Orlando fodorites on a weekend.

Hi: Is this gettogether just for seasoned official board members or are newcomers who like to travel welcome? I live in the Boca area and have used this, the caribbean and australian forums. Would like to meet other travelers esp. solo travelers. Thanks

I'm not new to the board, but didn't "visit" for a year. I was glad to see a number of posters still here that always had great information. My point - whether you've been here for days or years--it doesn't matter. It's a friendly place and I hope you can make it!

Naples would be so great...Patrick's play in addition to a get together!!! I think the west coast would be a perfect location since I would be coming from Boca as well.

I'm playing Marc, the role played by Albert Finney in London and Alan Alda on Broadway in ART. It is for the Naples Players Community Theatre at the Sugden -- kind of the showpiece center of Naples Fifth Avenue. The Naples Players are 51 years old and one of the largest and most successful community theatres in the country. Dates are Jan. 14 to Feb. 7, Wed. thru Thurs nights and Sundays at 2. We are mostly sold on subscription basis, but some tickets may still be available by calling 239-263-7990. I'd like to offer to get tickets for anyone, but unfortunately I don't have that much pull and they're hard to come by. You can also visit our website at www.naplesplayers.org

But about a get-together in Naples, I'm open.

Patrick, your enemies on this board must be sizzling to see your success in this wonderful activity. You being well off, flying business class and now this. It must be just too much for them to bear. Good on you!

Naples works for us, too. I will be happy to set up an email list of anyone who is interested if you would like.

Monica - you're always invited even when it's not a get together. Say hi to everyone for us.

Coming from Tampa, I will take the drive to Naples anyday over the drive to Orlando. But what happened to the idea of Tampa? Woody's in St. Pete is not a bad idea either. I'd offer to host it but my husband is already mad at me for spending too much time on fodors.com. I can't imagine what he'd say to a few hundred fodorites hanging out at the pool with margueritas.

Keep me posted.

Paris--try me at this [email protected]. I just set it up and haven't used it yet. Thanks for being the cruise director. I hope you hear from the others.

Patrick - I checked out the website you listed. That is so impressive. Not only are you witty and well travelled but you have spirit and are driven creatively!! I wish I could catch your play. Degas must be so proud.

Calamari, what is the reference to Degas? I'm really confused by it.

Meanwhile I'm really amazed at the number of Fodorites who recently I've discovered live in Naples. Sempre-diritto, I know I've "chatted" with you here and had no idea.
Maybe we need our very own get-together.
