Tampa Get Togethers??

Greetings! We just moved from the Washington DC area to Tampa. We enjoyed attending and occassionally hosting get togethers. Are there any planned in the Tampa area in the near future? If not, is anyone interested?

Sounds good to me. I live an hour south. There was a small gathering a couple of years ago. I just rejoined the board after a long hiatus so I don't know if any have taken place since.

We need to find Olive Oyl from Tampa. I used to have her email but my computer crashed.

OO--if you're out there "call".

"Sal"

I live on the East Coast of FL, but depending on when, I would be interested in gathering!

I'm interested as well. I don't know how many of us there are in the area, but we had a very mini and casual gathering last winter at Woodys in St Pete Beach, just 3 couples, and since then I've seen more names pop up, mostly on the US boards. Not including Sal, I can get in touch with two others anyway, but we might be surprised at the number of responses we might get if this same thread is posted on the US forum.

Since there is interest, maybe we can do something. I'm not familiar with the area yet, but would be happy to try to set something up. If you're interested, email me off line at themayberrys at earthlink dot net

Funny I use as my alternate email [email protected]!

I'm in Maitland..a bedroomer of Orlando..anyone nearby ?

I'd be happy to set something up..even for just a few.

Should we start an alternate post?

Saturdays or Sundays are usually good for me if we plan far enough ahead. Saturday preferably--I'll have to miss little league! Don't feel sorry for me--we'll have at least 53 games left.

I'd like to suggest that we try to shoot for a location that won't be more than two hours away for each of us. That's probably Orlando.

Yoohoo, Europe! US poster over here. Heard you're planning a Tampa getogether. It might be hard for me to get away to Orlando but I'll check back for details and see what's cooking.

I'm pretty tied up for the next five weeks with the play I'm doing in Naples, but after that -- I'm game to travel nearly anywhere in Florida.

We've just moved from MSP to Pompano Beach and I'd love to attend a Fodors gtg somewhere down here. I'd prefer mid-way but could probably get all the way to Tampa, especially if it meant I could stop again at the fabulous Dali museum in St. Pete. Count me in and probably old what'shisname, the husband, too.

Hey, looks like I'm the only one to post on the US thread, so I'll repost here! I'll be in Florida from Mar4 to 24, so if your gathering is put off til then, I'd love to attend. Sounds like fun.
