Taking Underground from Milan Centrale Rail Station
Please tell me if the Underground is connected to the Milan Centrale Rail Station. Need to go from there to the Duomo stop. We will have small amount of luggage and definitely look like tourists so would it be better to just spend the money and take a taxi and perhaps be safer? Going to a touristy stop and thinking about pickpockets, etc on the underground causes a bit of concern. Thanks for you help.

yes, it's connected on a straight line to the Duomo, and no need to worry that you look like tourists. Many, many Italians in Milano are wheeling about luggage or have it slung over their shoulders. You might be mistaken for fashion models. The Duomo metro stop is as much a business stop as it is a tourist stop.
That said, the underground corridors, with staircases, that connect several metro lines to the central station are no fun to haul luggage around, and the seemingly-blind alleys may unsettle you if you are unsure where you are going even if you are perfectly safe.
Especially if you are going in warm, humid months (or lousy rainy weather), taking a taxi is not an extravagance.

ciao, vincenzo! Is it as pretty and fun where you are as where we are? We had swims in the sea today at sunset and it was a delicious way to chase away the heat. Everybody is partying. Lots of dancing in the piazze!
By the way, our town is full of Milanese who have escaped. They are down here with their luggage!

zeppole and vincenzo-thanks so much. Amazing how fast I can decide with your help. Definitely will take a taxi and now the 15 to 20 euros fare doesn't even sound that expensive. Stairs, long dark halls with luggage, don't think so!! I don't know where you
two are,but glad you are having lots of fun. Thanks again.
