Can someone tell me where the synangogues
are in Madrid and Barcelona. I'm mostly intesested in Madrid because we will be there on a Shabbat and my husband would like to go to services. We are staying at the Emperador Hotel on the Gran Via(53).

Many of the known synagogues in Spain have been turned into museums or churches. However, with out specific information, I'm sure there are still some synagogues that do operate as they should and have Shabbat services. I would suggest you contact your own Rabbi who might have this information, or direct you to the proper resource.

Thanks to everyone and does someone know if the hotel Emperador is close to a synagogue. Natjgc
