Synagogues

We will be in St. Petersburg and Moscow (leaving US next week) each for two days and would like to visit a synagogue in each city. Could not find listings. Can anyone help?

If you do find a synagogue on one of those web site elaine mentioned, you may want to check (in a guide book or call the number listed) to see if it is open to the public or if it still functions and holds prayer services. We have looked on some of those sites and were disappointed when we got to the place and realized it was closed.

Also, do a search for kosher restaurants in those cities; then go there to ask about synagogues in each city.
